  • Under the direction of the Senior Accountant and General Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for providing administrative support in the Accounting Department at Buckerfield's Head Office, in accordance with Buckerfield's policies and procedures.

  • ADMINISTRATION – data entry, data analysis, cheque and invoice assembly, document processing, photocopying, filing, and preparing documents for distribution, mailing and faxing


    • Receive vendor invoices from Buckerfield's stores and prepare incoming invoices for payment

    • Perform data entry of vendor invoices and credits into the point of sale system (Counterpoint)

    • Import vendor payment information from the point of sale system (Counterpoint) to the payment processing system (SAGE)

    • Generate payments in accordance with company policies and procedures

    • Review and reconcile statements to ensure no outstanding invoices

  • Provide support to other Head Office positions as required

  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Accountant or General Manager


  • Completion and certification of Grade 12 Diploma, or equivalent

  • General knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and office administration is required

  • Knowledge and experience with Sage 300 is an asset

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and other office software and equipment is required

  • Excellent customer service, and verbal and written communication skills

  • Exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize and manage time effectively


  •  Position to be filled immediately

  •  40 hours/week

  • Monday to Friday, though days and hours of work may vary and employee will be required to work weekends and statutory holidays, as required
