Temporary Store Closure

Last Thursday night, the 17th of July, after our store closed for business, a fire started around the back of our building. Damage was largely caused to the external part of the building and our greenhouse, and a moderate amount of damage to the back entrance of our store. Thankfully, due to our safety procedures and the rapid response from Abbotsford Fire & Rescue Service, the damage was minimal as the fire was swiftly contained. We’re extremely grateful that no one was hurt from the incident. A post-fire investigation is well underway and based on their initial findings, it has been determined that no foul play is involved, but the cause of the fire is still underway. As a result of the damage caused, we are moving swiftly to remediate the area as quickly as possible in order to re-open for business, but we need to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff, customers, and suppliers remains our top priority, so we will remain temporarily closed until this work is completed and the building is deemed fit to reoccupy.

We thank you for all the positive messages of support from the wider Lower Mainland community thus far, and we’d also like to extend a heartfelt and massive thanks to the firefighters for their valiant work to ensure this fire caused minimal damage to our business.
